Bromance: Ruiwen

The best BL live action I've seen so far.. and this is coming from someone who's still in love with the Takumi-kun Series.
I'm not a fan of Chinese productions. I liked Taiwanese serials when I was still in high school but Chinese? Nah! I kind of have that prejudice that a lot of foreigners have about the land of xiao long bao and because of that, I tend to stay away from Chinese entertainment. 2 months ago, I saw a recommendation from a blog that I follow to watch this 2 part-movie series. I said to myself, why not, since I was looking for a good distraction and it has been a long time since I watched a BL story.
I will be honest in saying that at first, I didn't appreciate the looks of the seme, Xie Yan (played by Meng Rui).. He's the type that I won't say handsome at first glance. And let me tell you, fujoshis like me are very particular with how a seme should look like. I was actually too put off after the first scene of Meng Rui that I immediately shut my player off LOL.
A few days after, I chanced upon a the wiki page of Uncontrolled Love and there were some comments from the person who updated the page that the lead actors Meng Rui and Wang Bowen (Xiao Nian in the movie) are dating in real life. WOW! really wow! So long story short, I got interested again and stalked these actors online.
It turns out, Meng Rui is actually a gorgeous human being:

He just didn't look that good in the movie's first scene LOL! And well, Wang Bowen, as proven by his almost (as of writing) 2 million fans in Weibo is a cutie pie:

Sadly, although they're very close to each other, they haven't confirmed that they're dating in real life.

Seems to me that they are, though <3 <3 <3
But it's not their looks that made me think Uncontrolled Love is the best BL movie so far. It was the movie itself: The acting- how the 2 leads brought Xie Yan and Xiao Nian to life, especially Meng Rui- he has some serious acting skills going; the music- I fell in love with the 2 OSTs sang by both of them; the directing; the production; everything. The only fault I guess is the English subtitles from the movie's Chinese production. I would probably appreciate a fansub more LOL!
